A very special unique Mercedes AMG SL55.
Personally owned for a very long period by a well known ex-Dealer.
This car has been owned by myself, twice, once for 4 years and then another 8 after taking it back into stock.
It is in Arctic Silver with a very clean and updated (by Leather Refurbishments) Anthracite Leather interior.
It has a full Panoramic Roof.
The history file on this car is massive with all bills from all its owners which are numbered as 8 but in reality 3 were changing from company cars to personal car, and 3 were Dealers.

At this stage , having evaluated the car and the fact that the previous owner had only sold the car due to the extremely problematic ABC Suspension, we (MCP Motorsport), decided to completely revamp the whole dubious factory suspension and install a common place worthwhile addition as has been done many times n the USA to ABC SL 55’s.
We then fitted the following:
All this was expedited during early 2018 and the car was put back on the road after being taken to Center Gravity, the absolute Masters of Suspension.
The car has literally been transformed. It is not the same car. Although a little harsh on very bumpy roads, this slight inconvenience is more than made up for by the incredible handling, point and squirt traction and superb poise. The handling and road feel is utterly sublime.
There is a front page write-up on this car in the Mercedes Enthusiast 2020 after my wife and took the SL55 around the (awful) roads of Northern Scotland on a 2550 mile odyssey in Sept/Oct 2019, covering the fabled NC500 and another 2000 around Northern Scotland, Skye and Mull. For 2 weeks we never had the hood up. It is the most wonderful grand tourer. A saloon one minute, press a button and the steel/glass roof disappears into the boot.

REASON FOR SALE: I am 77 and my wife reckons it's a luxury we don't require. She wants 4 seats and a big boot.
Conclusion
The purchaser will be owning a truly wonderful completely transformed AMG SL55. Its as good as it can be and I hope everything mechanically has been taken care of. There has been a tiny amount of rust in the left rear arch, and this was repaired . If you don’t like a slightly bumpy ride on really bad roads, then this isnt for you. On normal roads, its sensational.
I am looking for a figure around the £20,000 mark. I don’t think you will be disappointed!
